It took me many frustrating hours to figure that out. I don't understand how Microsoft justifies changing those settings on foreign computers (which are not part of the Windows Domain) just by logging in to Microsoft 365. Click Administrative templates > Microsoft Word 2016 > Word options > Security > Trust Center. In the Group Policy Management Editor, go to User configuration. Macros settings are enabled again and you can change them. Open the Group Policy Management Console, right-click the Group Policy Object you want to configure and click Edit. What I had to do was change the active account in the Office Program (you can do this in Word or Excel but not Outlook - at least I couldn't find a way) and then restart the application. After my system applied the updates all of my macros that I use in Word are gone.
